Michelle has worked at Centre Animal since 2004. She worked as a
technician, before becoming our Lab Manager and Tech Team Co-Leader in
2013. She was named Practice Manager in December, 2021. She is Fear Free certified.
Michelle lives with her husband of 25+ years and they have 2 young adult sons. She has 2 Chihuahua mixes, and she enjoys camping, traveling, gardening, and boating at Raystown Lake.
Michelle joined our team in December, 2021. Prior to that, she had 17 years of veterinary administrative experience gained at Mount Nittany Veterinary Hospital, where she ultimately worked as Practice Manager. She is Fear Free Certified.
Michelle and her husband of 15 years are owned by 6 hairless dogs, all of whom are rescues. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with family.
Sandy Hess is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has worked for CAH for 16 years, 10 of them as Inventory Manager. She has worked in nearly every type of technician role in our hospital and continues to increase her knowledge of pet nutrition. Sandy has worked to streamline inventory, safety and pharmacy protocols. She is also Fear Free Certified and Feline Friendly Certified by the AAFP.
Sandy has served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Huntingdon County Humane Society for 15 years, as well as serving as the Medical Liaison. She and her family have a Labrador retriever and 7 cats. She is also a proud dance mom.
Formerly the Office & Client Care Manager, Anne Marie went part-time in March 2022. She manages the hospital's social media, website and communications. Anne Marie holds a B.S in Special Education from JMU and a certificate in Wildlife Rehab from the IWRC. She has worked in both day and emergency vetmed and has volunteered for animal rescues. She also has published over 60 novels, novellas and magazine articles. She is Fear Free certified.
Anne Marie and her husband have devoted much of their lives to animal rescue. They are owned by 3 dogs and 3 cats. Anne Marie is an active "Grandmarie" to 5 grandchildren. She enjoys needle arts, reading, plants and landscaping, and walking her dogs.
Yvonne became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in 1986 and joined the Centre Animal Hospital team in 2004. She worked as Dr. Calvert’s technician for 10 years, and in May, 2020, she became CAH’s first Senior Triage Nurse. Yvonne is Fear Free certified.
Yvonne has been married for over 30 years, has two adult children and a number of animal family members, including two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, and a carnival goldfish that has lived for more than ten years! In her leisure time, she enjoys walking with her dog, reading, gardening, bird watching, and riding her motorcycle.
